LHO is an investment advisory and fund management firm founded in New Canaan in 1991 by Leif Olsen and Erik Olsen. Leif Olsen, a well-known economist, has held several senior positions in his career including 23 years as Chief Economist of Citibank and as a member of the Panel of Economic Advisors to the Congressional Budget Office. He has testified frequently before congressional committees on monetary and fiscal policies and financial market issues. Erik Olsen is an economist and has extensive experience as a banker and economic consultant to the fund management industry. The Firm's principal activity has been advising institutions and other fund managers in the management of their assets by applying its macro-economic forecasting skills and asset allocation expertise. In addition, in 1995, the Firm started its own hedge fund that focuses on investing in emerging markets securities. This fund has outperformed its benchmark index since its inception. While the Firm has always provided financial planning advice to selected individuals, it is now expanding the availability of this service in response to market demand.
